Last Day of Four

Favorite...

Movie - Barbie and the Three Musketeers
Food - carrots
Book - the one we're reading right now (Spider-Man comics)
Toy - Batman boomerangs for my party
Superhero - Batman with a boomerang
Cereal - Fruity Pebbles
Person - you (his mama)
Thing to do - read books
Game - all the games in the world

That's it.

(All poses thought up by Caleb himself. After one picture, he'd jump into his next pose. I had to ask super nice to get a picture of him sitting on the steps smiling at me with his eyes open.)

I love you Bugga. You are the best thing in my life.

Graphic Novels

I think we all want our children to turn out like the best parts of ourselves. So nothing makes me happier than this:

A little boy reading = a happy heart

Granted, his favorite things to read are graphic novels since they have lots and lots of pictures, and well, he doesn't actually know how to read. Baby steps though.

Bowling

For the last day of Caleb's visit in February, we decided to go bowling.

I did manage to beat Caleb at the game, even though it was probably the worst game I've bowled in a really long time. Not that I bowl a lot.

Jam Session

Caleb had this great idea for us to have a jam session. So we both got out our guitars and started playing. He's much cuter with his guitar than I am with mine. Though after a while of playing, Caleb wasn't such a fan of the idea any more. Apparently my playing clashed with his and he couldn't play if he couldn't hear himself. Oh well. It was a fun idea at least.

Olive, Part Two

Every birthday girl deserves her own cake.

And what does Caleb think of his cousin's cake extravaganza? Thumbs up.

Olive, Part One

Happy first birthday to this sweet little girl! I was a super awesome aunt and got her to take her first steps the day before she turned one. Yep. I'm awesome.

Olive's awesome too. Don't you agree?

Surprise Snow

When Caleb flew in for his January visit, he was disappointed that there wasn't any snow. He'd been hoping the snow would surprise him.

Two days later, it surprised us all.

Flying

Just flew from Phoenix to Salt Lake. It was beyond bumpy. To the point that I wanted to throw up several times.

As we're exiting the airplane, the pilot is standing by the door. Caleb tells me he wants to tell the pilot thanks.

"Pilot," he says to the pilot, "Thanks for the roller coaster ride."

I think the pilot was amused and not offended. Caleb really was thankful and quite enjoyed the roller coaster ride.

Dress Up

My mom bought a bunch of dress up clothes after Halloween since we had a serious lack of boy dress up things. And I have a boy. He loves having so many options to play with.

Caleb the ninja. With very awesome ninja swords.

Iron Man. I think.

Caleb the Storm Trooper. Or some other guy from Star Wars. You can't really expect me to know the difference.
