Last Monday (8/4), we toured Sweet's Candy Factory. They showed us all the different machines they use to make candy. They also let us sample a few things. The first was a jelly bean without the candy coating. I was hesitant to take one. It was early in the morning, and I'm not a big jelly bean fan, but I tried one anyway and it was so good. The next sample was another thing I normally wouldn't eat, but also ended up being delicious. That was followed by taffy right off the wrapping machine. It was peppermint flavor, which I love, and was so fresh and delicious. I don't know if I can ever eat taffy again because it won't be anywhere near as good.
Caleb did really good while we were there. We had to wear hair nets, which he didn't want to do. He's not a hat person. But once we got inside the factory and he had stuff to look around at, he only touched the hair net once and when I told him no, he didn't bother with it again. He also sat in the stroller without any objections, even though everyone else was either walking or being held. And he didn't complain that he didn't get to try any of the candy samples. Such a good little boy.

i'm pretty sure taking a child to a candy factory and not letting him try ANY borders on some sort of abuse. I'll have to check the Geneva Conventions, but I think it's against the rules for treatment of prisoners of war as well...
Wow! that sounds like so much fun!! What a good little boy.
how's utah and being home?
I love his hat that is way to big so there is a knot in it. Did Caleb get to taste or just watch?
